Discover the world. Capture it. Listen to it.
Many roads lead to Rome. Just as many lead to art: After leaving school, I pursued various professional paths. After having received vocational training as a hairdresser and a university degree in translation studies, I moved to Bristol, England, to complete a Master program in Animation at the Bristol School of Arts.
My first short film - The Lonely Socks Club - was shown at the 2010 animation festival Tricky Women/Tricky Realities as well as in Stratford-upon-Avon, England, where the film was short-listed as Best Animated Film at the Falstaff International Film Festival 2009.
In 2011, I finished my second short film - Jurgis Joniskis - in cooperation with the Dutch foundation Droomwevers. The film is available as part of a compilation DVD. erhältlich.
In the following years, I worked as a freelancer. In art and animation classes for children, I passed on my enthusiasm for various forms of artistic expression and built up years of teaching experience. At the same time, I expanded my painting and drawing skills as well as my portfolio, amongst others during study trips to Denmark and Italy.
Nowadays, I focus more on painting. Wide landscapes and its inhabitants - people and birds - appeal to me in particular. I like to capture them using ink or watercolor and sometimes oil paint, soft pastels or a combination of different media.
